The Word KAR means meticoulus, hard work in the kurdish language. The group was named KAR to put this word in action.

KAR was established in 1999 to organize a number of a privately owned Iraqi companies in different business sectors. Over the past two decades, KAR companies were ranked as some of the most succesful firms in Iraq in the annual listing of the Chamber of Commerce.

KAR's first task was to provide multidisciplinary construction & consulting services in engineering, project management, and development activities.

Speedy execution of projects and fostering a new "Iraqi professionalism" continue to be the underlating goals of all the companies under KAR management umbrella.
